ATTENTION S20 Sailors: BYLAW ERROR
The S20 Class Association Board has found an error in the 2011 edition of the Bylaws and Yearbook. The error is found underArticle VI.14 – Sails
The maximum dimensions of the spinnaker, which must be of ¾ oz. material…
This bylaw, for an unknown reason, has lost the complete description and definition of the ¾ oz material. The error was made between the 2005 and 2007 editions of the yearbook and bylaws. There was no class vote or board decision to change the language in this bylaw. The full definition will be restored in the next edition of the yearbook and on the web posting of the bylaws and will read as it did in the 2005 edition:
Article VI.14 – Sails
The maximum dimensions of the spinnaker, which must be of a woven ¾ oz. generic spinnaker material, and weigh not less than 40 grams per square meter of finished spinnaker fabric…
This bylaw stands and clearly defines the minimum required material. If you have any questions regarding allowed materials contact a board member or your sail maker, who will be able toprovide you detailed materials information.
